Data Status
Container capacities and skill tiers were checked on 2026-10-06 against the official stream, skill cards and the wiki. They cover Update 5.5, including the labeled test build.
Bulk Diesel Tank and Bulk Battery each have two recorded capacity readings. Both are shown with their dates; Bulk Battery readings are 18.0 kWh and 20.0 kWh. Their calculations are comparisons, not fixed capacities. Check the container in your game.
The rocket preset uses console readings from before Update 03.
Where each fuel comes from
These production routes were reviewed on 2026-10-06. No filling-time estimate is calculated. The reviewed fuel references do not establish a fresh-water source.

| Crude oil | Collect oil from the oil pump at Black Vein Station, process spare materials in a Recovery Grinder, or have Project Jonah whales retrieve oil from the seabed. |
| Diesel & petrol | A Distillation Tower (skill Tier 20) uses crude oil and electricity to make diesel and petrol. Leave storage available for both outputs: if either fills up, the tower stops. |
| CO2 & electricity | A Large Electric Generator consumes petrol and produces electricity and CO2. |
| Oxygen & methane | A Sabatier Reactor (skill Tier 16) takes fresh water, CO2 and electricity and produces oxygen and methane. |

How much does each barrel hold?
Each reviewed liquid or gas barrel holds 500 L: Diesel, Petrol, Oil, Fresh Water, Oxygen, Methane and CO2. Battery Barrel holds 1.0 kWh. Container evidence was checked on 2026-10-06.
Why does the Bulk Diesel Tank show two capacities?
The September 2, 2026 skill card shows 6000 L, while a September 3 crafting screen shows 10000 L. Bulk Battery likewise has 18.0 kWh and 20.0 kWh readings. The developer said capacities were being adjusted on September 5. Both scenarios are shown without a default; check your own container before choosing a count.
How much fuel does a rocket launch need?
The reviewed rocket consoles show Oxygen 12000 L, Methane 3000 L and Electricity 60 kWh. These readings are from December 19, 2025 and February 9, 2026, before Update 03. Recorded before Update 03; check your rocket console.
Which containers need a quest?
Bulk Petrol Tank, Bulk Diesel Tank, Bulk Battery require MOSES Field Reserve Program. Each also has its own skill tier requirement and a 3-point blueprint unlock cost, confirmed on the skill cards.
